Her Excellency Khawla Abdul Rahman Al Mulla, Chairperson of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) , chaired the eleventh meeting of the fourth ordinary session of the ninth Legislative Chapter, to discuss the policy of the Sharjah International Airport Free Zone (SAIF) Authority and Al Hamriya Free Zone Authority (HFZA). During the meeting, being held at its headquarters in Sharjah City, the SCC’s members stressed the importance of enhancing trade and economic cooperation between Sharjah and all countries of the world, highlighting the available investment opportunities, facilities, and incentives provided by the emirate in various vital sectors.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), Chairman of the SAIF and the HFZA, and Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of the SAIF and the HFZA, in the presence of other dignitaries. Her Excellency Khawla Abdul Rahman Al Mulla has highlighted the SCC’s keenness to give the utmost importance to promote the essential roles of the Sharjah International Airport Free Zone (SAIF) Authority and Al Hamriya Free Zone Authority (HFZA), emphasizing their efforts to attract foreign direct investment, transfer of technology , increased exports, creation of new employment opportunities for employment and the development various skills.
Commenting on the distinguished role of the two authorities, Her Excellency Al Mulla highlighted their efforts aming at increasing trade exchange, scaling up of exports, and increasing the foreign exchange resources. During his speech, Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), Chairman of the SAIF and the HFZA, has lauded the efforts of the SCC and its commitment to boost the development of the SAIF and the HFZA, stressing that the two authorities constantly work to enhance the national economic and diversify income sources. Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi highlighted the directives of the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), Chairman of the SAIF and the HFZA, and Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of the SAIF and the HFZA, briefed the attendees on the mechanisms of the two bodies and their role in the development of businesses and attracting various investments. Sheikh Khalid Al Qasimi pointed out that the percentage of Emiratisation in the top management was 100%, and in the other departments between 70 and 80%, besides the interest in the environmental aspect and the intelligent transactions switching, in order to facilitate the services for customers. Concluding the meeting, Her Excellency Al Mulla announced the organisiation of a seminar on invest in people and its role in future civilizations, on Monday, 25 February, 9:30 am, at its headquarters.
Her Excellency Al Mulla concluded that the next meeting will be held on Thursday, March 7th, and will discuss a draft law on the reorganisation of the University of Sharjah and a draft law on the establishment and organisation of the Sharjah Center for Astronomy & Space Sciences, as well as discussing the recommendations of the Free Zone Authority in the emirate of Sharjah.
