Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF ZONE) participated in Intelpack 2015, India's longest running and most successful packaging show, that concluded at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, on April 16 Thursday.

The event, witnessed at two co-located events - 11th edition of Foodtek and 8th edition of Pharmapack - specialised in food processing and pharmaceutical industries respectively.

“The show was like a hub of the Indian packaging industry and market and our team met a number of investors who are interested to branch out to SAIF Zone”said Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of SAIF ZONE and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA).

The three-day exhibition, organised by Intel Trade Fairs and Expositions, gathered all sectors of the packaging industry under one roof and attracted 30 new exhibitors.

Intelpack 2015 witnessed for the launch of over 45 new products and
facilitated the sharing of knowledge and development of new ideas for both exhibitors and trade visitors.

Over 300 exhibitors mainly from the food and pharmaceutical packing industries were present at the exhibition and 12,000 buyers and decision-makers attended the show.

“The huge turnout allowed us to interact with representatives of big companies and exhibitors from overseas,” said Mohammed Al Mahmoud , Commercial Director, SAIF ZONE.

It also provided a unique opportunity to meet senior decision-makers from the food sector, which was of utmost importance, taking our goals of expanding the food sector into account for the year 2015,” he added.
