Sharjah Airport International Free Zone showcases at Nepcon Japan exhibition in Tokyo
SHARJAH - 11/01/2015- Sharjah Airport International Free Zonehas successfully showcased its range of offers and advantages in Nepcon Japan which is Asia’s largest exhibition for electronics. The event, which took place from January 14th to 16th, 2015 at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan, attracted attention as a venue where one will get to see the latest technologies for "future of electronics". “We have to explore the Japan market more to utilize its potential for maximum benefit,” said Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA), who returned after the three-day event from Tokyo. “The trade between the UAE and Japan has been prospering and the value of two-way trade between Japan and the UAE during the first six months of 2014 was $25.92 billion,” Al Mazrouei pointed out. The 43-year old event has grown to become the largest electronics packaging & production show and attracted 1,767 exhibitors and 61,896 visitors from different countries in 2014. There was over 1,980 exhibitors this year.Nepcon Japan is rated as the best way to attract businesses from Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan. “Sharjah Airport International Free Zone has keen interest in many firms in Japan. The show gathered a variety of exhibitors from automotive electronics and renewable energy and met investors from different sectors,” he further elaborated. According to statistics, Japan’s exports to the UAE surged by nearly 13 per cent to $ 4.59 billion, and imports by 2.76 per cent to $ 21.34 billion during the first six months of 2014. The UAE is Japan’s 5th largest export destination of passenger motor cars in the world, after the United States of America, China, Russia and Canada. Notable increase in exports from Japan to the UAE was registered for general machinery, iron and steel products, optical and photographic products. Rafi Agri Foods Acquires 20% Stake In Delta Food Industries
Rafi Agri Foods International FZC, a leading agri-commodity trading firm based out of the SAIF ZONE and partner of Canadian-based Ronald. A. Chisholm Ltd, has acquired a 20% stake in Delta Food Industries FZC, one of the fastest growing food manufacturing concerns in the UAE. The partnership with Rafi Agri Foods is in line with Delta's recently announced strategy to invest AED 40 million for the expansion of its production lines and food plants over an area of 110,000 square feet in addition to the existing facilities. "We are happy to support Delta Food Industries and Rafi Agri Foods in their expansion and endeavors", said Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, director of Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA). SAIF ZONE, UAE Exchange tie-up for easy payment system
SHARJAH (20-1-2104) - Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF ZONE) has introduced a new cash payment option for its investors to settle their invoices through the UAE Exchange branches in the UAE. “We always strive to provide the best services for our investors and now we have collaborated with the UAE Exchange for the same,” Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, director of Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF ZONE) and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA), said after signing the contract with UAE Exchange. “This initiative is in line with our goals for the year of 2015 to provide better and faster facilities and is one of the many other services that we are developing to achieve total efficiency,” Al Mazrouei added. “ This collaboration will provide an added service to our investors for settlement of their payments on a day-to-day basis with minimum effort and maximum savings in time,” said Muhannad Obaid Rashid Buafra, Finance Director of SAIF ZONE.
