 KOREAN FIRM INVESTS$20 MILLION IN NEW FACILITY AT SAIF ZONE

Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF ZONE) has been attracting global investors to set their base in the Free Zone thanks to its strategic location and ease of access to the Asian, African and Middle Eastern markets.

Announcing their intention to take advantage of the distinctive opportunities that SAIF ZONE offers are Korea-based Kiswire and the UAE-based Amzone International Ltd. who are set to jointly open a 220,000 square-feet marketing and sales complex in SAIF ZONE by the first quarter of 2017.

This US$20 million new complex will be a dedicated facility for Kiswire products. The group performed its ground-breaking ceremony at SAIF ZONE on 7th February, 2016. The event was attended by Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of SAIF ZONE and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority; K.C. Hong, Chairman of Kiswire; M.G. Saif, CEO of Amzone International Ltd; senior officials of Kiswire including Blanco I.K. Paik and Jeff Lee; Abdelrahman Bin Buti Al Mheiri, Director of Engineering Division, and several other officials

"The new facility's management philosophy will be based on responsibility and mutual respect. We choose to associate with brands who share our idea in lifting technology and engineering innovation. We have an exclusive partnership with Kiswire, the world's largest high carbon wire & wire rope producer, for the past 26 years," said M.G. Saif.

After the ground-breaking ceremony, Al Mazrouei held discussions with K.C. Hong and M.G. Saif. Al Mazrouei noted that a number of new companies have been opening in SAIF ZONE due to its strategic position, attractive offers and facilities.

"SAIF ZONE has extended extensive support to launch the project and the complex will be operational by the first quarter of 2017. SAIF ZONE's strategic location is an advantage and the new complex will provide us easy access to the Asian, African and Middle Eastern market," added M.G. Saif.

Kiswire, a company valued at $4 billion, has production facilities in Korea, Malaysia, the U.S., Vietnam and China. In addition to these, they are present in 18 countries with 40 factories and three R&D centres. Kiswire has sales offices in strategic areas such as Japan, Singapore, the U.S., the Netherlands and China, all of which work together to form a global network.
